It was an unforgettable electrifying emotional experience. Cameras were running hot with people moving from one side to the other to get the best shots of Orcas swimming under the boat. Before long pilot whales appeared around the boat, and then the moment came that we had all been waiting for, Orcas, all around us, large, small, family groups and singly. Leaving the harbour behind, the ocean was benign and rocked us gently on our journey to the Bremer trench. Soon the Captain employed the engines and the vessel turned towards the open sea. At last we were led aboard the magnificent Research vessel and directed to take our seats. As the crowd gathered, the anticipation and excitement was almost overwhelming. The smiling friendly staff welcomed us warmly. On the 9th February, the day was overcast and mysterious. Thank you so much to the family and crew of Whale Watch Western Australia for three epic days. You really do not want to spend your day being unwell and missing the spectacle of orca pods enjoying their day at the Bremer Canyon. To anyone considering doing this trip, do, do, do take sea sickness prevention medication, even if you think you will be ok. ![]() No detail was overlooked during the entire time on board, right down to the care given to those who did suffer from sea sickness. A clear testament to the knowledge the crew have gained through their years of operation at the Bremer Canyon. How they manage to identify each individual orca so easily is remarkable. The service is first class with food and refreshments being offered throughout the day. From the moment you arrive at the dock receiving a friendly greeting and welcome refreshment prior to boarding, to the end of the day when the entire family and crew thank you for spending the time with them, you are treated like one of the family. I cannot recommend this wonderfully professional family owned business highly enough. I was extremely fortunate to spend 3 days enjoying the company of Orca with Whale Watch Western Australia during late February, early March.
